Warranty & Service Terms

Understand your quote, service arrangements and after-service support.

Prepared 26 September 2026.

Warranty depends on the agreed work

Any additional workmanship or parts warranty should be recorded in your written quote or invoice, including its duration, start date, covered work and claim contact. This page does not promise one fixed warranty period for every service. If no additional warranty is stated, applicable statutory rights still remain.

Workmanship and parts

A workmanship claim concerns the work performed within the agreed scope. A product or parts claim may also involve a supplier or manufacturer warranty. These are separate matters. Customer-supplied products may have their own seller warranty; this does not remove responsibility for the installation work itself.

How to report a problem

  • Contact WhatsApp +60 11-2175 2365 and mention Electrician.my.
  • Share your job date, service address and quote or invoice reference if available.
  • Describe the problem and provide photos only if safe. Do not open electrical equipment to collect evidence.
  • We will discuss the next step and coordinate assessment with the responsible provider. Missing paperwork does not automatically remove your statutory rights.

Assessment and possible outcomes

An assessment helps establish whether the issue relates to the original work, a supplied component or another cause. Depending on the findings, the agreed warranty and applicable law, a remedy may include rectification, replacement or another appropriate resolution. Any proposed charge for an unrelated issue or extra work should be explained and agreed before it is incurred.

Issues outside an additional warranty

An additional warranty may not cover an unrelated pre-existing fault, ordinary wear, misuse, external damage or later alterations that caused the reported problem. The cause and relevant terms must be considered for each case. These examples are not a blanket reason to reject a claim and do not exclude rights that the law protects.

Quotes, appointments and additional work

A WhatsApp enquiry is not a confirmed booking. Confirm the service provider, scope, appointment, price, inspection or call-out fees, materials and payment terms before proceeding. Additional work requires a revised explanation and approval. Access restrictions or concealed conditions may affect the scope and timing.

Cancellations, deposits and refunds

Ask for cancellation, rescheduling and any deposit terms before confirming the job. Any applicable charge should be disclosed and agreed in advance and comply with applicable law. Refund or cancellation requests are considered against the agreed work, payments made and applicable consumer rights. There is no blanket “no refund” rule in this policy.

Your consumer rights

Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or replaces rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Malaysian law, including the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies. An additional written warranty operates alongside those rights.

Complaints and contact

If a concern remains unresolved, send the job reference, a summary of the issue and the outcome you are seeking to WhatsApp +60 11-2175 2365. Ask us to identify the responsible provider if it is unclear. You may also use available statutory complaint and dispute-resolution channels.
